100 Percent Pure Cosmetics

After realizing I needed to change all my beauty products to vegan and cruelty free, it was a bit difficult finding the right product for the right price. I kept going back and forth with different brands, like 100 Percent Pure, Lush, Urban Decay, and E.L.F. I always wear eye liner so that was the first makeup product I wanted to change and I was debating in getting either Lush's liquid eyeliner or 100 Percent eye liner gel. I went with 100%. I love this product so much!

So if you don't know much about 100 Percent Pure here is the overall jist of the company. They are what their name states, 100 percent pure, "100% Pure-no synthetic chemicals, chemical preservatives, artificial fragrances, artificial colors, harsh detergents or any other unhealthy toxins." They also are an all cruelty free brand, but not every product they sell are vegan, unfortunately they use honey and beeswax on some of their products, like their mascara. The eye liner gel I bought from them is from their fruit pigmented cosmetic line, so that means they are colored from "antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables" which is pretty cool. Cost was $18 for the Black Tea eye liner gel, I got free shipping. =)

At first it was a bit difficult working with the eye liner because it wasn't as black as I wanted it, it came out  dark grey and a bit splotchy, but I got use to working with it and now it goes on black and perfect. As the weather started becoming hotter I notice the liner getting on my upper eye lid, so to fix that I used my sister Urban Decay eye shadow primer, which is also cruelty free and vegan, and it works perfectly. When applying the primer the liner stays on longer and looks super jet black.

I also got to try out their lip glaze, also from their fruit pigmented line, from a website called Integrity Botanicals. I did a review on some of the products they sell, you can see that here.  The lip glaze color is called Lychee, it's a light shimmery raspberry/burgundy color. I do notice that it doesn't stay on for too long, but it's easy to apply. It's a nice color, but I wish it was a bit more pigmented. This lip glaze cost $15, but I used my points from the website and got $6 off and I took advantage of their free shipping first Friday deal, so I only paid $9 for it!
Check out 100 Percent Pure here! Also Integrity Botanicals here!
