Fake Meal

So yesterday my family and i went to Target to get a few things but left with more then what was needed, as always. Anyway i went to the frozen area to get corn and i don't know why but i wanted to see if Target had any vegan  fake meat foods so i started looking. It wasn't that hard to find it was just in a bottom frozen shelf all lonely with no other fake friends. The products go by Gardein and they had two options to get which were the Mandarin Orange Crispy Chick'n and i think the other one was The Ultimate Beefless Burger(or some other burger patty) I wanted to try both but the Mandarin Orange really caught my eye because I've been craving Chinese food for a week and this is probably the closest it gets to being a healthy vegan option.

When i was scanning through the bag of course first thing i saw is "I'm meat-free" and i thought oooooo awesomeness now lets read the ingredients. After i read the magic list i thought everything sounded okay i mean i don't know what some ingredients means but it didn't have anything super weird and outrageous so i got it! If you're wondering about this awesome Gardein fake chicken brand you can go to there website and they have all theirs foods with photos of the nutrition sticker and tell you what the ingredients are. Also if you sign up they give you a coupon to get $1 off and if you're like me(broke) it would help you out a lot.

I had some leftover quinoa so i used that and i put some of the Mandarin Orange soy sauce, that comes with the fake chick'n, and just added carrots and i wanted to get in some spinach in but i didn't know how and i was pretty lazy so i just left it as it was. So now to talk about the good stuff when i first took a bite oh man it was delicious! Its crispy and all around good and with the soy sauce they provide it gives it more flavor. As you can see i kind of burned it but it was good it reminded me of the restaurant The Lotus Vegan (I've mentioned them in the blog) the burger they serve(which is also greatness) taste similar. I looked through there website and you can find their food in restaurants like The Veggie Grill. I really recommend trying this if you're lazy, like me, or just want to try something different this is for you and tell me what you think about it.
